  • Reformer Pilates is a low-impact, full-body workout performed on a spring-based machine called a reformer. It helps improve strength, posture, mobility and core stability — suitable for all fitness levels.

  • Great question! Reformer Pilates uses a specialised machine (the Reformer) that adds resistance through springs, pulleys and a moving carriage. This allows for a wider range of movements, deeper muscle engagement and more support or challenge depending on your level. Mat Pilates is performed on the floor using bodyweight, making it great for core strength and mobility, while Reformer Pilates offers a more dynamic, full-body workout that can be tailored to beginners and advanced clients alike.

  • Most clients feel a difference after 3–5 sessions.


    It’s a personal choice. We recommend:

    • 1–2 sessions per week for beginners

    • 2–3+ for strength, toning and faster progress

  • Yes! Our classes are designed for all levels, including beginners. Your instructor will guide you through the equipment and offer modifications throughout the class.

  • Just comfortable workout clothing and a water bottle. Avoid loose shorts or clothing with zips that might catch on the reformer. Grip socks are recommended for safety and hygiene — you can bring your own or buy some from our online shop amd pick them up at the studio vitalis-studios.com/shop

  • At Vitalis Studios, there are 6 reformers. We keep our classes small to ensure you get personal attention. Class size varies depending on the session, but all classes are kept intentionally intimate, and there will be a maximum of 6 people (plus the instructor)

  • Please let us know before your session so we can advise whether the class is suitable. Some conditions are perfectly fine with modifications, but others may require medical clearance.

  • Yes — you can manage your booking through our online system. Please check our cancellation window to avoid any charges.

  • All classes can be booked easily online. Just choose ‘Book Classes’ in the main navigation, select your session and reserve your spot. Or use this link vitalis-studios.com/book-classes

  • Yes! It’s more cost effective to book a block. You can see our options here vitalis-studios.com/book-classes

  • Yes. All blocks must be used within a 3 month period. Unused sessions can’t be carried over.

  • Clients must be 15+. Anyone under 18 will need parental consent.

  • You might feel a little muscle soreness, especially if you’re new to Pilates — that’s completely normal! It means your body is getting stronger.

  • Pregnancy-friendly classes are coming soon. Please get in touch before booking so we can advise what’s safe for your stage.

  • Yes! We are located at Alpha Athletic and there is car parking available.

  • No. Vitalis Studios is open to everyone. We are able to extend an exclusive partnership rate for those who wish to join Alpha Athletic, and access their state of the art training facilities - this is only £30 per month. Please contact info@vitalis-studios.com for a special link to join.

  • Yes — 1:1 and small-group private sessions are available. Contact us for pricing and availability info@vitalis-studios.com

  • Yes! Our beautiful studio has been designed to be a desirable private event space for alternative hen parties, wellness weekends, corporate team building activities, and anything your heart desires! Please contact info@vitalis-studios.com with details of your event and we will provide you with a quote.
